Who we are

Second Chance Hero is a non profit that supports critical programs and services for congenital patients and their families who need them most. We exist to help those fighting for a second chance through a support network of thriving transplant recipients.

What we do to help

We aim to help patients as much as possible by providing:

Care packages: comfortable hospital bedding, compression stockings, entertainment, health tech and more.

Pet therapy: a visit from our therapy team brings a more positive outlook to in-patients and medical staff.

Patient therapy: 1:1 sessions with experienced clinicians who are congenital and transplant survivors.

‍Temporary housing and travel: our future goal is to assist patients who need to relocate near a transplant and congenital center of excellence for life-saving treatment.

At Second Chance Hero, we’re focused on providing support and services for patients undergoing transplants. Our network of transplant warriors help provide authentic friendship, pet therapy, mental health services, and in the future, relocation assistance for those needing to travel to find life-saving treatment.
